Mary Adams Memorial Fund and the
Harold Cheney Cash and Ellen Lewis Cash Fund
The Mary Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by a bequest from the late Mary Adams for the purpose of providing scholarship grants to students beginning undergraduate study at colleges or universities. According to the terms of the bequest, students shall be selected on the basis of financial need and academic ability, with preference given to minority students to the extent permitted by law.
The Harold Cheney Cash & Ellen Lewis Cash Scholarship Fund was established by a bequest from the estate of Ellen Lewis Cash. The funds are to be used for scholarships for undergraduate and post-graduate study. Preference shall be given to students attending Vanderbilt University or Georgia Tech. Preference shall also be given to students in co-operative educational programs. The Cash Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic ability and financial need.
Most scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $3,000 for each academic year. All scholarships are renewable annually for a total of four years based on satisfactory progress toward a degree.
Eligibility

Graduating high school senior in Hamilton County, TN

Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3

Plans to attend a regionally accredited four year college/university. The school does not have to be in Chattanooga or the state of Tennessee

Application packet must be received (not postmarked) in the office of the following address no later than
4:30 p.m. EST Friday, March 26, 2010.
Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
